Swedish Court Fines File Sharer $300 For Sharing 44 Songs

It’s a well known fact that if you fight the RIAA in the U.S., you get fucked up: You’ll get charged for thousands of dollars per song. But in Sweden, it’s a different story: A young man was charged with a whopping 2,000 kronor, or $300 American, for sharing 44 songs. That works out to about $7 per song. That’s only $6 more than what the dude would have had to pay per song. That’s sort of reasonable, even. Sweden is the best, pretty much. [Tech Dirt]
