Residents reissue-rama

The legacy of those O.G.’s of weird-rock the Residents is being well served by Mute’s ongoing reissue campaign, and a pair of the eyeball kids’ greatest releases have just gotten a snazzy refurbishing. 1978’s Duck Stab and 1979’s Eskimo, both of which find the freaky foursome at the peak of their powers, are out this week, complete with fancy booklets, extensive liner notes, and photos that undoubtedly will not include any portraits of the band, who have upheld their notorious tradition of never revealing their faces in public throughout the course of their 34-year career.
