Prefix Premiere: Natureboy “Blow To The Head”

Sara Kermanshahi a.k.a. Natureboy is something else. Blending a fierce amount of musicianship with raw emotion, the music sweeps you up in its reveling and sometimes mystical wave and washes you ashore, leaving a rewarding experience. “Blow To The Head” is a sure spotlight on her upcoming album, The Sweep. From the start, it’s a very down feeling – a heavy, thick tone sets over a pounding rhythm and when Natureboy fires off with her almost uncanny vocal and plucky, airy guitar, it seems too good to be true. As the song ascends with more percussion and added keyboard instrumentation, the vocal soars even higher.

Transpiring, affixing, and addicting, this breathtaking performance, filmed in Alligator Lady Studios, is one of a kind in the best way possible. If this performance remotely piques your brain receptors, then you have a lot to look forward to on July 23 when the aforementioned album, The Sweep, drops. In the meantime, you can also check out the Luigi Campi-directed “Sugar” video.
