When it was reported that Michael Jackson could make $400 million for his string of comeback concerts, I wondered (in blog post form) whether or not there was really a huge demand for tickets to see the Jackson of 2009 perform, when everyone really wanted to see Jackson of 1982 perform. Apparently there is such a huge demand for the pre-sale tickets, that the website selling them (michaeljackson.com) crashed as tons of fans tried to buy tickets.
There’s also word that the demand has all but sealed the fact that the 10-date run Jackson announced will be expanded to at least 20. That is of course, if the first ten actually happen. [NME]
