Aphex Twin Releases New ‘Seaside Specials’ Clip (Video)

Aphex Twin may claim to have six albums ready, but whether any of those will see the light of day in the near future is moot. Richard D. James is notorious for piling up huge archives of recordings that have never been released, but a twinge of hope that a new record might emerge soon has been triggered by the release of the above clip. Thematically it touches on familiar Aphex themes—principally his desire to produce multiple uglified versions of himself—although the music is by the drum and bass outfit dgoHn. Don’t get too excited by the date embedded in this clip either—it’s likely to signify a live appearance by James at the Bloc weekender in the U.K. Looks like the wait for that elusive new album will go on for a while yet.
