Young Jazz Rebels represent yet another alias of prolific producer Madlib, who has apparently decided to become even more prolific in 2010. Aside from his whole monthly release project dubbed Madlib Medicine Show, he’s crafting jazz albums under a series of different group names from Yesterdays New Quintet’s Yesterdays Universe record. Sounds crazy, right? Well, it sort of is, especially considering the old “quality over quantity” adage. But so far, in terms of his jazz releases at least, Madlib has stepped his game up.

“Forces Unseen,” a funky, sprawling jam, is the first leak off Young Jazz Rebels’ Slave Riot, which is currently available for order only from Stones Throw. It hits all other retailers soon.
