Michael is a native of Chicago, Illinois (for more information, consult your local library
or Sufjan Stevens),
but has spent the last thirteen years in Los Angeles, which effectively makes him an
Angeleno. He attended school at the University of Southern California in hopes of getting a degree in
cinema and witnessing a football national championship. Both eventually
happened.

Spending
years as a desk jockey in the periphery of the music industry, Michael is happy
to be able to focus again on the creative aspects of recorded music, to regain
his voice as a writer, and to put the word out on that which is worthy of
attention. Michael wrote this biography himself and is, under any other
circumstances, uncomfortable with referring to himself in the third person.
