In between recording with an endless list of acts such as Goon Moon and Marnie Sternn, ubiquitous and experimental drummer Zach Hill somehow finds time to work on his solo career. And just like on his 2008 solo debut, Astrological Straits, Hill has gathered a host of indie musicians to fill out his sophomore effort. He is joined again by the duo of No Age, who appear on distorted lead single “Sacto Smile,” along with Devendra Banhart, Prefuse 73's Guillermo Scott Herren, and Deerhoof's Greg Saunier. Also stopping by, among many others, is Hella-cohort Carson McWhirter, with whom Hill hasn't recorded with since their 2007 album, There's No 666 in Outer Space.
