Prior to his signing to Akon's Konvict Music label, Ya Boy kicked off his career back in 2005 with the release of his debut, Rookie Of The Year. Since then, though, his output was primarily through mixtapes and guest features, the latter of which ranged from tracks by Game to Kevin Federline. But in 2010, the San Francisco rapper linked with Akon and began working on Kalifornia Konvict. Hard details on the project remain scarce, though it's set to feature Wiz Khalifa and, most likely, Akon on a hook or two.
