James Jackson Toth, a.k.a. Wooden Wand, moves on over to Michael Gira's Young God label for Death Seat, an album that finds him continuing his travels down the path of dusty, desert-baked indie-folk/country/Americana. This time around, Toth is joined by a raft of guest stars that includes members of Mercury Rev, Big Blood, Lambchop, and the Silver Jews, but don't expect some big-production epic from the chronically lo-fi likes of Toth.
