Wiz Khalifa First Flight
Back in 2008, Pittsburgh MC Wiz Khalifa's Alice Deejay-sampling single "Say Yeah" more or less invented the niche genre some people call "trance rap." Since then, Khalifa signed to, and was subsequently dropped from Warner Brothers records, leaving the release status of First Flight up in the air. While sorting out his label issues, Wiz Khalifa has kept working, releasing a series of mixtapes and the independently released album Deal or No Deal. Still, people in Pittsburgh don't probably care, as Khalifa doesn't play for the Steelers and isn't a sandwich with french fries on it.
