New Clouds is the second LP from Portland-based electronic musician Adam Forkner's solo project, White Rainbow. Whereas 2007's Prism of Eternal Now was more traditionally structured as an album, New Clouds is a song cycle in four parts, much like a modern classical composition. The shortest track here clocks in at about thirteen minutes, which gives you an idea of the direction that Forkner has taken: an expansion of his previous ambient tendencies into long, slowly evolving, repetition-based tracks.
