
Upon the arrival of British post-punk revivalists White Lies, the masses might well have wondered whether the world needed another batch of post-Joy Division types a la Editors, Interpol, et al, but when the band's 2009 debut album turned out to incorporate a dose of Franz Ferdinand-style sass and bite as well, all was forgiven. For the follow-up, Ritual, White Lies has called upon the services of British super-producer Alan Moulder (Depeche Mode, Erasure, and yes, Interpol), perhaps in the hope of adding even more pep to their collective step.
