The debut full-length from London trio We Have Band, WHB follows on the heels of the dance-floor-ready and much-hyped singles "You Came Out" and "Oh!" But rather than stick to crafting such immediately gratifying slices of edgy pop, the members of We Have Band attempt to explore -- with an album's worth of space to work with -- other dimensions of their still developing sound. As guitarist and vocalist Thomas puts it, "The singles are poppy, danceable and catchy, but there's another side to us." On WHB, they enlist the services of producer Gareth Jones, who has previously worked with Grizzly Bear and Interpol, to help them bring to the fore darker, more cerebral influences, like Joy Division and Talking Heads.
