Sam Fleischner and Ben Chase's down-and-out-in-Jamaica tale has made a splash on the indie film circuit with a solid performance by Max Bones and a brief appearance by Norah Jones as Bones' heartbreaking girlfriend. However, the film is also filled to the brim with musicians and music. Rocker Bones is joined by other indie faves like MGMT, Yeasayer and Santigold on the soundtrack. With a chunk of the film set in Jamaica, or course there is also some reggae and dancehall, courtesy of The Congos, Mr. Lexx, and Myskal Rose. (I assume the latter is actually Mykal Rose. The film's website lists "Myskal Rose.") Curiously, the Eek-A-Mouse song that the film's title seemingly references is absent.
