Review

Founded in 1990, this London-based label quickly became synonymous with left-field, experimental hip-hop and electronic music. Over the years, it has been the home for diverse acts ranging from Amon Tobin to Spank Rock. And for the imprint's twentieth anniversary in 2010, its founders, Matt Black and Jonathan More, wanted to provide longtime fans with a multi-disc box set. Ninja Tune XX contains six discs worth of Ninja Tune tracks from its past 20 years with tracks both new, old, and remixed from the likes of Speech Debelle, Andreya Triana, Roots Manuva, and Antipop Consortium. Also included are six 7-inch double-singles, posters, a hardcover book, and plenty of stickers.
