Trey Songz #LemmeHolDatBeat (Mixtape)

The whole rapper-turned-singer might have seemed relatively “new” to some when Drake showcased his interchangeable style on his break-out mixtape, 2009's So Far Gone. But there were numerous MCs flaunting their pipes and flows long before then, such as Cee Lo Green and Phonte. What is less common, though, is when a singer tries his or her turn at rapping. But that's exactly what Trey Songz opted to do here on his Twitter-friendly #LemmeHolDatBeat mixtape. It finds him rapping over a series of industry beats, including Kanye West's “Runaway” and Rick Ross's “Aston Martin Music.”
