Glitter and Doom Live collects 17 songs performed during Tom Waits’ 2008 Glitter and Doom U.S. and European tour. Recorded in a variety of cities (Paris, Birmingham, Ala., Tulsa, Okla., Milan), the album is meant to sound like one evening’s performance and includes lesser-known Waits classics like “Singapore,” “Such a Scream,” and “I’ll Shoot the Moon.” Accompanying the live album is Tom Tales, a selection of musings, funny anecdotes, and other weirdo Tom Waits stories told during his piano sets.
