Analog Heads Gone French is the first album from ex-Girltoucher members Mike Jackson and Tyler Lenane, alone with veteran Go-Kart Records producer Dean Rispler and ex-Nada Surf/Shake Appeal drummer Aaron Conte. Together, the four make up Tiger Mountain, a band that unapologetically wants to get back to the time when rock 'n' roll was fun and not mired in genre classifications or scene designations. On Analog Heads Gone French, they mostly succeed. While the first few tracks hint at classic Who influences, other songs, such as "Swerve On," are unabashed reminders of John Cougar Mellencamp's "Cherry Bomb" days. Like Mellencamp, these songs are unpretentious and good-natured, existing to make you feel good without thinking about it.
