The Wooden Birds Two Matchsticks

The Wooden Birds, the new band of Austin indie veteran Andrew Kenny (American Analog Set, The Album Leaf, Broken Social Scene) with a crucial Brooklyn contingent in Matt Pond, has seen Kenny diverge from his former band’s drone pop into Bon Iver/Iron & Wine-esque minimalist songwriting. The Wooden Birds’ debut album received coverage and decent reviews in major publications, and Two Matchsticks, The Wooden Birds’ sophomore album, follows extensive touring in North America & Europe, along with several key sets at SXSW in Kenny’s home town.
