After scoring a minor hit with the song "Trash" from their debut album, 2008's X Marks Destination, Manchester electro-rock trio The Whip holed themselves up in a studio for 18 months to work on their second full-length, Wired Together, the final six months supposedly spent engaged in a marathon session with producer Jagz Kooner in London. A five-song sampler circulated before the album's release revealed an increased focus on the band's electronic side. The band has said that the album is supposed to come off as more celebratory and lyrical than their debut.
