Boy, do I have a sweet tooth. The downside is that four packs of Starburst and six pounds of jellybeans never really fill me up. The Vacancy’s EP has a similar effect; it’s pleasant enough to snack on, but don’t count on it for any real substance. Their glossy pop-punk choruses are infectious (think mid-’90s Rancid), but in the end it’s difficult to convince yourself that there really were seven different songs on the record. Hardcore punk fans should stay away, but mall punks could see a small spike in credibility with this one in their collections.
