Glenn Donaldson and Donovan Quinn, of California's Jewelled Antler collective, see their sixth release with Gorgeous Johnny. Elisa Ambroglio lends her voice to "SGL's, Et Al," and Jason Quever provides an encore performance to his collaboration with the band on 2006's Disciples of California. The album is named after a previous member of the band, who "didn’t really play anything but neither could anyone else. Described by most as a phony and a self-confessed dandy, the band kept him around for his undeniable fashion sense. He would often quote Coco Chanel’s views on Modernism and affected a British accent, though he was from Orange County."
