The Curious Mystery We Creeling
Since its inception, Calvin Johnson's K Records has been the goto place for DIY pop accented by sugary, boy-girl vocal volleying. The more energetic numbers on We Creeling, the Curious Mystery's second album for Johnson's label (following the 2009 release Rotting Slowly), won't disappoint fans of the K aesthetic; however, the band tends to coat their preciousness with a healthy dollop of '90s slowcore syrup.
