Alchemist, Evidence Step Brothers

The world got a taste of this collaborative project when the Alchemist both produced and rapped on “So Fresh (Step Brothers)” off Evidence's 2008 EP, The Layover. The two decided they wouldn't stop there as they would soon announced Step Brothers, an often delayed, much anticipated album. The apparent reason for its multiple push-backs is that Al said he didn't want the record to sound like it could be an Evidence or Dilated Peoples song. Rather, the producer-rapper said he wanted to create a proper sound for it, which can be heard throughout Step Brothers.
