Fans of Peter Bjorn and John's breakout hit, "Young Folks" should be able to recognize Victoria Bergsman's distinct airy voice anywhere, but those who have followed her from her days as lead singer of The Concretes to her current solo project as Taken By Trees are all too familiar with the range of emotions her vocals can display. While Taken By Trees' debut album, Open Field, moves at a slower pace than "Young Folks," the music is no less intoxicating. Expect the usual dreamy, enchanting moments from East of Eden, which was recorded in Pakistan with local musicians.
