Street Sweeper Social Club's The Ghetto Blaster EP represents the duo's second project and first since their debut. Unlike their album, this seven-track EP primarily focuses on rapper Boots Riley and guitarist Tom Morello flexing their covers chops. They tackle M.I.A.'s “Paper Planes,” LL Cool J's “Mama Said Knock You Out,” and the Coup's “Everythang,” the last likely being the most interesting of them all just to see how Morello can interpret a track from Riley's other group. The other cuts, though, are mostly new material, such as a remix of “Promenade.”
