Stone Temple Pilots may not be the first nineties band to put money on when it comes to reunions, what with Scott Weiland's history of arrests, rehab visits, singing in other extremely popular bands, and all. But crazier things have happened (like Chinese Democracy being released). The band reunited to play a series of shows in 2008 after Weiland got fired from Velvet Revolver. That tour led to a batch of new songs that were recorded in 2009. This self-titled effort is their first in nine years and sixth overall.
