Review ·

Jon Bon, Eddie Van, Bootsy and Ringo Rizzak have some balls, one has to grant them that: they subtitled their band "Famed International Supergroup," lifted the Ramones' same-last-name bit, and namecheck one of the most hyped albums in recent years. It's so overdone that it's clearly tongue-in-cheek, which isn't necessarily a bad thing -- but the album just doesn't deliver. The production for this 3-song sampler is a bit glossy for a punk record, and the songs, while almost catchy, don't even push us into guilty pleasure territory. "Mudflap Girl" flat out steals the tune of Dion's "Runaround Sue." Don't fuck with Dion.
