How short is our cultural memory? So short that less than ten years after Duran Duran laid official claim on the term "Night Versions" by titling a compilation of extended dance remixes as such, two Belgian deejays must explain the concept again when appropriating the term. So short that the aforementioned deejays produced, remixed, then reissued an album over three successive years with little notice. So short that the duo's mash of "NY Excuse" over "Funkytown" only reminds me of Dumb and Dumber. Sign o' the times? Perhaps. Or, maybe it's just the E talking.
