Sonic Youth SYR9

Sonic Youth established their own label, Sonic Youth Recordings, in 1996. SYR allows the avant-garde legends to explore their most radical impulses without any input from outsiders; with SYR9, the band's score to French film Simon Werner a Disparu, Sonic Youth delves into the more meditative shades of their experimental inclinations (for those of you unfamiliar with the band's self-released material, use the intsturmental passages of "The Sprawl" for reference rather than the noise fit of "Silver Rocket").
