Heartbeat Radio
is the Norwegian singer-songwriter's fifth studio album and first with new material since the Dan In Real Life soundtrack. After dabbling in jazz on 2006's Duper Sessions and a rawer, modern rock sound on 2007's Phantom Punch, Heartbeat Radio marks a return of sorts to the sophisticated indie pop sound Sondre Lerche started with early in his career. Lerche's usual fixation with strings is back on poppy songs like "Good Luck" and the title track after being noticeably absent on the previous album.
