Best known for both her excellent work with Zero 7 as well as being the woman behind the track “Breathe Me,” which played during the final moments of Six Feet Under’s heart-wrenching finale, Australian-born Sia Furler has also paved out a noteworthy solo career from 1997 to present. We Are Born, her fourth proper album, finds Furler embracing her upbeat side, which she partly credits to her childhood love of Madonna and Cyndi Lauper. She even covers Madonna here, opting for ballad “Oh Father” off of Madonna’s Like A Prayer.
