Because I Was in Love is Sharon Van Etten's first proper album, recorded with the aid of record label and the intent of being a full artistic movement. Being what it is, it might lack the charm and feeling of earnest that normally accompanies a good lo-fi release, like the collection of home recordings Sharon Van Etten; however, as long as Van Etten's insistent guitar and sweet vocals remain, charm isn't someting that will be lacking.
