On his second solo album, the System Of A Down vocalist moves even further away from the eccentric hard rock he made his name on into more electronic and symphonic territory. Recorded entirely at his home studio in Los Angeles, the record also marks a first for Tankian -- a track written entirely in Armenian. The track deals with the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Empire, an issue he has been extremely vocal about throughout his life as a musician. Otherwise, Tankian promises another set of songs dealing a great deal with the personal and the political, delivered in a self-described “electro-orchestral-jazz-rock” style.
