Say Hi Um, Uh Oh

Um, Uh Oh is Eric Elbogen’s lo-fi pop project Say Hi’s sixth album, and it’s primarily about Elbogen’s inability to keep any meaningful relationship together. His notoriously shifting backing band has up and left a (probably exaggerated) “37 times,” and like the title suggests, the album is about watching everything fall apart – whether it be band members or significant others. Much bleaker than the usual cutesy entry in Say Hi’s catalogue, the twelve track album strikes deeper into Elbogen’s psyche than ever before.
