With ...Is A Real Boy originally conceived as a concept album and the follow-up, In Defense of the Genre a guest-star laden double disc effort, Say Anything sticks out from their fellow emo/pop-punk contemporaries as a band filled with ambition. Their fourth album aims to dial it down a bit and is being touted as a return to the poppier sound of ...Is A Real Boy and focuses more on Say Anything's own distinct sound, whereas In Defense of the Genre found the band paying homage to some of their influences.
