Carlos Santana built up so much goodwill as the hellfire-spitting frontman for his self-titled rock outfit in the '60s and '70s that it was sort of OK when he decided screw it and cash in big with 2000's Supernatural. Dude got paid on that one, so can you begrudge him for recording "Smooth"? Guitar Heaven might invite the same kind of joking as subsequent collaborations with Nickelback and Michelle Branch did, as Santana reinterprets a number of rock classics with a slew of famous singers. There's Chris Cornell singing Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love"! Gavin Rossdale on T.Rex's "Bang A Gong"! Nas (??!?!!!) on AC/DC's "Back in Black"! Santana wrote his own share of guitar cuts "back in the day," but every legend gets bored after a while. Can't beat that cover, though.
