Sade Soldier of Love

If nearly a decade has passed, then it must be time for another Sade album. Her previous effort was 2000's Lovers Rock, which was preceded by 1992's Love Deluxe. While waiting for so long between albums would be commericial suicide for most artists, Sade has a devoted fanbase that outlives trends and almost guarantees platinum sales with each release. Part of why her fanbase is so devoted is because there is comfort in knowing that her signature sound of quiet storm dynamics and pained, delicate vocals will not change much. After five albums and 25 years of smooth sounds, don't expect anything drastic.
