Arriving less than a year after his last album Generation X, Sadat X delivers his sixth solo release, making him by far the most prolific member of the legendary hip hop group, Brand Nubian. If any of his recent albums are any indication, Sadat X is not looking to stray too far from his socially conscious lyrics and hardcore Golden Age delivery. Brand New Bein' features other like-minded hip hop enthusiasts such as KRS-One, Lord Jamar, Grand Puba, Craig G, C-Rayz Walz, Buckshot and Rahzel. Production on the album is completely handled by the Rocksteady Crew's DJ JS-1 and JW, whose credits include beats for Common, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Canibus and Pharoahe Monch. The album comes packaged with a data disc that includes acapellas, instrumentals and radio edits of all the songs.
