After a four-year hiatus from releasing proper solo material, Royce Da 5'9" dropped Street Hop in October 2009 to some positive results. It might have been a bit too long and without proper promotion, but it showed that Nickel-Nine could still spit on his own. From there, he continued working on his solo career while maintaining his relationship with his cohorts in Slaughterhouse. And, likely at the same time, he began working on his fifth proper LP, Success Is Certain, while the four-man hip-hop crew of Slaughterhouse crafted a self-titled EP to follow-up their self-titled full-length debut. While details on Success Is Certain are scarce, expect perhaps some sequels to tracks heard on its predecessor, 2004's very good Death Is Certain.

Looking forward to this. Hopefully he keeps the momentum from the Bad Meets Evil project
