    More a street album or mixtape than a proper LP, Royce Da 5’9”’s The Bar Exam III is his follow-up to 2009’s above-average Street Hop. If that album was any indication, it’s clear that Royce still struggles as a solo MC. His fans will remember that his best work in ‘09 came as part of Slaughterhouse. He is always brimming with potential, though, and he seems to succeed in a grittier, more competitive atmosphere. With that in mind, it would only make sense for him to deliver on a mixtape featuring other rappers’ beats with Royce trying to one-up his cohorts.

    ya dude you suck. royce is a beast. he could turn commercial if he wanted to....remember he ghost writes for niggas in the industry, but he decides to spit those raw lyrics meant for people who are really into creative rhymes and songs. nigga has never got his full credit for the ill rhymes he spits, just imagine if him and eminem stayed tight.......

    Are you serious ANdrew? haha this album is way better then BE II and BE II was so sick. I cant believe Royce out did himself. I hate your pants is the funniest thing ever yet so true haha. I bet you never even gave the whole album an honest listen. I bet BE III is the best Hip Hop album of 2010. Andrew you lost all credibility.

    Anyway, what I wrote was that his best material in 2009 -- and in 2009 ONLY -- was as part of Slaughterhouse. I wasn't saying compared to his entire career because yeah, that would be idiotic.
