On the heels of his wildly successful, Grammy-winning collaborative effort with Alison Krauss, Raising Sand, Robert Plant is resuscitating his Band of Joyproject (also the name of his first band in the 1960s) for a fall release. Plant has recruited singer-songwriter Patty Griffin on vocals, multi-instrumentalist Darrell Scott, bassist Byron House, guitarist/producer Buddy Miller, and drummer Marco Giovino for both the recording of the album and the Band of Joylate-July tour. The album will feature covers by, but not limited to, Los Lobos, Low, and the Kelly Brothers.
