Richard Thompson Dream Attic

In addition to being one of England’s finest guitar players and a dedicated and practiced songwriter, Richard Thompson is also a remarkable live performer. For his 2010 set, Dream Attic,the British folk-rock elder statesmen recorded 13 new songs in front of a live concert audience during a West Coast tour of the States earlier in the same year. Bringing the loose, immediate energy of the live experience to bear on an album’s worth of new material marks another interesting moment in the long and inspired career of this legendary figure and situates him as a still-relevant artist nearly 40 years into his career.
