In terms of keeping fans excited for their music via the internet, there's Radiohead and there's everyone else. Case in point: the possible EP Wall of Ice. Cryptic messages started popping up on the band's W.A.S.T.E. store promising some musical product called Wall of Ice, which may or may not include "leaked" single "These Are My Twisted Words," on Friday Aug. 14, followed by Radiohead sleuths (who looked at the code for the single MP3 and found the date) claiming that Wall of Ice will for sure be out on Aug. 17.
Assuming the EP is actually out on Aug. 17, it wouldn't be the first time Radiohead announced a new musical product via their website; their last LP, In Rainbows, was announced in a similar fashion. But why just an EP? Well, Thom Yorke said in early Aug. that the band would not be working on a full-length album any time soon (seconded by Jonny Greenwood a week later), instead focusing on smaller musical projects. Perhaps like Wall of Ice. The EP, if it's real, will be here for sale.
