What's up with the release date? December 29, 2009? I hope that's wrong.

Apart from the music, Prince's 'very capable hands' should be kept away from anything to do with sales, marketing and web page design. He's a musical genius but his business and communication skills are infantile.

I'm sure this album will be nothing but pure, hardcore, raw, edgy talent. Prince is the man (a sexy 1 I might add) and I cannot wait 4 this album to drop. He gave me a b-day present dropping it the day after my b-day, thanks Prince, I luv u!!!!!!!!!

To access Prince's sight u need to sign in 1986 then Los Angeles on the ticket stub.. Then it will take u through becoming a member process for $77.. I've been a Prince fan for 25+ years but cannot justify the $77 at this time.

Thanks Michelle, $77 is a bit steep at this time, especially with the way the economy is!!! I am such a huge fan of Prince and have every single album he has ever put out almost except his downloadable recods only available @ the NPG website, but I also cannot do the $77 at this time. He has to come up with a website for the fans who are not able to pay the fees, but we want to enjoy the site as well.

The new Prince - LotusFlow3r is AMAZING to say the very least. One of my favorites is "Colonized Mind" on the LotusFlow3r CD. Bria Valente's "Elixer CD is awesome listen to the song "Home"; it's got a crazy beat and she has a voice that you can really groove to. CAN'T WAIT TILL THE TOUR!!!!

This is truly the best Prince release ever. The Hendrix feel is incredible. This is the Prince I know from the early days - the stuff he did on tour that did not make it to the studio. He is a musical genius with quite a sense of humor. Grammy worthy. I'm thrilled I lived to hear it. And Bria is a pleasant bonus.

my hope was that there would be at least a few decent cuts on the 3 cds... my hopes were dashed last night once i listened to two of the cds... i was a big fan too but not any more. this is not his best release ever... i should have saved my money; can i get a refund?

It's not as good as I thought it would be. It's classic Prince, but I thopught he would hit me a lot harder.

Bought the 3 cd package yesterday and listened to some of it on my laptop.....then got into my car that has a very nice aftermarket system and listened to some of the same songs again and was very happily surprised at what I heard. There is a lot going on in the lower range that is lost if you have a subpar system.
That said, this may not be Princes' greatest release, but it certainly shows his artistic progression as he ages and matures. If you are like me and really love the old edgy songs like

He is the most wonderful music genius that has grown into a Master of his trade ... Reviews for the 3 CD set are mixed but the underlying modality is what captured me - both Prince and myself are of the same age - at mid-life I feel like having a major fling - Prince gave me that get a way without causing a messy divorce for adultery in this economically horrified year... I've been a Prince fan from the beginning. I remember the first time I saw an album of his, For You, in a store in 1978. I later heard it on the radio and went back and bought the album. It was the beginning of my status as 'hardcore fan' for years after.

At some point, Prince started getting into a place where he so obviously could care less what he puts out. This album eloquently underscores that point.

As evidenced here, people love Prince. No matter what. He is a hugely successful entertainer. He's long ago figured out that no matter how bad his albums may be (Graffiti Bridge, Batman, Cherry Moon (!), etc.) there will be legions of people not only buying into it, but trying to convince others how good it is.

This whole work, to me, is a flop. There's no point in going into pointing out all the the individual songs, because, with the possible exception of Colonized mind, to some degree, there's really nothing noteworthy here.

It won't matter. Prince has long ago cemented himself within the entertainment community as a permanent fixture. He's reached a point in entertainment that few have; where his loyal base is substantial enough that he could put out a CD of him sleeping, and there would be enough takers that it would make more than a profit.

Come to think of it, that might have been more merciful than this iteration.

Man this album is fresh air had it for a going into two weeks,still playing 24/7. Can't seem to play my other new stuff for this its like melody crack. just keep beaming up.

Love this man. Prince is a musical genius. I've only been able to listen to a couple of the songs on his new CD and thought it was OK. I have to find time to really give it a good listen. It seem like he's trying too hard. I love his simple songs the best.........Tour? I would pay anything to see him.

Enjoying the new CD, don't LOVE it as much as his older work that would make ya wanna just jam and dance all day. But I'm a big fan so had to buy it. lol I think he counts on that. lol
As for the Bria V cd I didn't care for it.

I love this CD!!! Bria's Valente songs are so smooth. I didn't know Prince could write Neo-Soul! I like the track "Dance 4 Me". I recently DJ'ed at a club and slipped this song in. The dance floor was packed!!!
"Another Like Me" "Chocolate Box" and "Ol' School Company" are also hot dance tracks.
On his other CD "4ever" "Love Like Jazz" and "Colonized Mind".
Many of you haters out there are only disliking Prince because you want him to continue sounding like he did when "For You" came out. The man has matured and so has his music. I'm fortunate to have collected every recording he's put out...including the downloads (... one of the beauties of a 2TB external drive). No, I don't like every song that he puts out. I don't think I'm a fan of anyone's music where I like "anything" they put out. Yes, he has released some crap in his career.... but Lotusflow3r isn't one of them.
YOU NEED TO ADD THIS CD TO YOUR LIBRARY. I'm sure even the haters are still listening to one or two of the tracks.

QJam---I'm so in love with u right now! U set it straight in all that u said! I am so glad u played Prince's latest CD at the club, it's a all around talented mixture of pure genius music! U got club hits, mellow mixes, rock out tunes and anything else ur heart desires! I'm in the process of collecting all of his records, I have about 36 of them. I do not have the downloads though,I'm not computer savvy like that, lol..... I will definitely get them though!!! I'm 29 years old & I want 2 have everything by the time I'm the big 3-0 next year!!!

Ive been a fan for 25 years and i can honestly say the new Lotus and MPL sound cd is the best he has put out since Lovesexy. These albums far out class even Diamonds & Pearls and the symbol album and the very mediocre and irritating 'Most beautiful girl in the world', one of his biggest hits, where i feel he started to lose it. 'Come' in the midnineties had its moments but i generally was'nt impressed by 90's Prince other than 'I Hate U which was a great track. I am into the more edgier Prince - i love his early beats - the Linn drum machine in all its glory - the voice manipulation- the screeches- the moans and the sighs to me they are Prince's trademark, i also have a love for his guitar playing and although we heard moments on his previous album Planet Earth, on Lotus Flower we have it bigtime. 'Wall of Berlin' has'nt been off my stereo- that tune has a serious geeeettttaaahhh workout....i thought i had gone to heaven. The same for the song Dreamer. '77 Beverley Park sounds like it should be the soundtrack for an Italian gangster movie and 'Love Like Jazz' could have been put on the middle of the Parade album in 1986 (someone on this board said the Parade album was'nt very good - crazy person who needs there ears tested)MPL sound has beats that will rip your face off - we have claps that remind us of the intro to Sign o the Times - we have jiggs that remind us of the track "Delirious" we also hear 'Shockadelica' voice manipulation.. its a vast collection of old school purple beats and i am loving it. What do people expect...you are never going to get a "Doves Cry or a Purple Rain again. I personally think the album tracks and b-sides far outweighed his singles anyway..My favourite Prince albums are Dirty Mind, 1999 and Sign o the Times so this will give you a heads up on the style of Prince i love. The R'N'B and Rap stuff he was spewing out just does'nt do it for me. After listening to Planet Earth , Lotus Flower & MPL Sound i can honestly say this is the Second Coming and its just what i need at this time of my life...when i hear them old school prurple sounds it takes me back to a time when i had no responsibilities, i was young and having fun..this man is like medicine for my soul. Thanks Prince for repaying all the faith i put in you and rewarding my patience. I thought you was gone for good. The purple one is truly back

hillbilly 74 said it all! I have been a fan since way back also. I love the old MAJOR FUNK! Box of chocolates and Dance for me are my 2 faves so far. I even brought the cd to the gym today! I would love either a greatest hits tour including the b sides or 3121 combined with this album MINUS the slow music. I want to dance like it is 1999 all night! As for Bri, I am sure it's a great album and I listened to the first 2 songs..kinda reminded me a little of Vanity, but then I stopped and went back to my box of chocolates heheee.

I'm only 15 and i love prince songs! His songs are amazing!

I find this to be a true trip I don't mind taking over and over again A+.
