I had to read Praful's bio a few times to let it sink in. "Born and raised in Germany"? Could that be right? Apparently Praful's spent a great deal of time traveling abroad, as his jazzy grooves owe much more to the flavors of Latin and Indian popular music than the home of robotic electronics like Kraftwerk. The title track sounds like Rjd2 in Brazil, while the tropical guitars of "Rainbow Butterfly" push the sun below the horizon. The playful "Corpo Suado" sums up the album: It can't quite rock a party, but it can definitely rock a cocktail gathering while everyone's still on drink number two.
