1140: The Overdose represents the third entry in Pill's numbered mixtape series. The previous two, 4180: The Prescription and 4075: The Refill, were so successful on the web and underground circuit that the young ATL MC caught the eye of XXL. The magazine featured Pill as one of its 10 freshmen to watch in 2010, along with J. Cole, Fashawn, Donnis, and others. The Overdose means more than a typical mixtape, though, as it's also the precursor for Pill's proper debut, The Medicine.
