Peter Gabriel I/O

Set to be released in 2004, one would think that Peter Gabriel’s I/O has hit something of a snag- but then, this is the man who sequestered himself for ten years while crafting the follow-up to 1992’s Us (hey, you try writing a song as catchy as “Steam,” ok?).  Rumored to be pouring over 130 separate songs for inclusion in I/O, and seemingly increasingly busy with the covers record Scratch My Back, the notoriously mercurial Gabriel has offered little in the way of hints as to the new album’s sound, content, release date, or future, beyond the potential for a 2010 release.
