After recording his first three albums in Los Angeles and handling most of the playing himself, Pete Yorn decided to try something new with Back and Fourth. He relocated to Omaha, Nebraska and surrounded himself with a backing band consisting of, among others, Beck’s drummer Joey Waronker and one-time Black Francis protégé Jonny Polonsky. Working with producer Mike Mogis, Yorn is seeking to use a larger musical palette without losing the candidness that marks his best work.
